i read the original thread just to find the "putting down" part (wasn't interested in the original topic, right because it was too sensational). guess what, i didn't find any "putting down".

AndersonsInfo
by minimus ini am sick and tired of people putting down posters like the andersons!
they work hard to expose some things we might never have known about.
why some find fault with them, or ray franz before them, or maximus when he was here is beyond me.. be thankful for those that decide to come here and share what they know about this organization.. we get elders who are still in their positions and they share with us a lot of interesting news and perspectives.

you have become the thing you hated.
by TheJigsUp ini was reading a thread on here the other day, and it occured to me.
the very thing i have claimed in the title.. reading you all bickering over a certain subject.
i assumed that some of you are only here to genuinely to create arguments, and i saw that some are genuinely lost and some of you dont believe they are lost but they are.. i saw you judging your fellow posters as if you knew something, but truth be told none of us do.

the violence came from the muslims. it may have been provoked, and it would have been better to burn a bible right along, but they only burned a book they owned in their own property, they didn't cause any physical harm on anyone. i wonder who's the sick bastard who brought up the mob in afghanistan though... and who's so full of manure to go kill someone random for that reason. should have burned some flags or bibles and get over it.

Anyone Here With an "Earthly Hope"?
by Quendi insince the memorial is a little more than two weeks away, i thought i would raise this question, particularly for those of us who have left the organization.
do you have what the wts calls the "earthly hope"?
i know many ex-jws have renounced religion altogether and don't believe in any of these things.

the story of a little old lady who loved god
by warmasasunned inheard an interesting story today of a little old lady in her nineties.
the poor old dear had been in hospitial very poorly for a few months but as soon as she was discharged, even though she was still very weak,.
she told her daughter "i must go to church on sunday".

well, i suppose she believed in the wrong god. or god is mean. well, if "he" exists, he'd have to be mean i guess...

I've got one that can see!
by Mr. Falcon inyesterday, there was a thread concerning the recent important discovery they found in the middle east.
if proven to be authentic from the correct time-period it would signify that early christians did indeed use the cross as part of their religion.
we all commented about how if this does indeed turn out to be true, the wtbs and it's jws will either shrug it off or simply come up with some bizarre conspiracy story.. so i decided to test the waters a little.

i didn't because most of my friends are inactive or disfellowshipped by now. but i can tell you that when i finally had the guts to tell my wife i no longer believe in any of the watchtower religion or gods or whatever, she almost died. was the worst night of my life. but it was necessary... now she's also inactive, although still believing some of it.
(edited to add:) make that "one of the worst nights", we had to go through worse stuff later. but we did so together.

fortis, it works when you use the plain youtube link (or youtube share option) and link it using the "Insert/edit link" button in the editor toolbar.
